Bangalore, India – Popular Kannada actor Kiccha Sudeep has made a strong call for swift justice in the high-profile murder case involving fellow Sandalwood star Darshan Thoogudeepa and his girlfriend Pavithra Gowda. Both Thoogudeepa and Gowda, along with 11 others, are currently in police custody facing charges related to the brutal murder of Renuka Swamy.

Whoever is guilty should be punished. It is important to get justice for those who have been wronged, regardless of the town,” he stated. “His wife and family deserve justice.”

The investigation reveals that Darshan Thoogudeepa and his aides took Renuka Swamy to a shed in Bengaluru’s Kamakshipalya. There, Darshan allegedly assaulted Swamy with a belt while his aides beat him with sticks until he lost consciousness. The assault resulted in multiple fractures and severe injuries. Renuka Swamy’s body was later discovered by a food delivery rider, with dogs nibbling at it. The autopsy report confirmed the brutal nature of the murder, citing shock and hemorrhage as the cause of death.
Attempts to Mislead the Investigation
Police reports suggest that Darshan Thoogudeepa had allegedly planted three men to take the blame for the murder, offering them ₹ 5 lakh each. However, during interrogation, the truth was revealed, exposing Thoogudeepa’s involvement.
